A presentation, plus a question and answer session on the CAS program will be given by Ms. Jeni Mcanally, the CAS (Community Action Service) coordinator.  This presentation is open to all interested parents and students in both the PB/IB programs.

The CAS program is part of the IB Diploma process.  Al junior IB Diploma candidate students met with Ms. Mcanally on Tuesday, October 11, to learn about the process and requirements.  This meeting is the parents' opportunity to learn about the process and criteria for this part of the IB diploma program.  Please join me and other parents in learning also.

Thursday, October 27, 7:00-8:00PM     Gallery Room at CRHS.
This meeting will provide a general overview of the IB program including a general explanation of the possible educational paths for the sophomore-to-junior-year student.  It will strive to provide the parents with information about how the IB curriculum progresses as the student moves from grade to grade.  It will touch on the Internal Assessment process all the way to the senior IB exams.  This is a general overview of the program. Later meetings will discuss in more detail the individual classes of the IB program.

Thursday, November 17, December 15 (canceled), and February 9, 7:00-8:00PM   Gallery Room at CRHS.
These meetings wil focus on and address the classes tat make up the IB curriculum.  We will present the "6th subject" choices as well.  During the February meeting, we will be discussing the options forecasting sophomores have for their junior and senior years.

Thursday, January 5, 7:00PM    Gallery Room at CRHS.
This is the Alumni Panel meeting.  At this meeting, a group of graduated IB Diploma and Certificate students will be available to answer questions you may have about the "worth" of the curriculum.  Was the program/curriculum worth it?  How has it helped you in your college/university career?  You and your student will have the opportunity to ask questions of the graduates.  This is a great opportunity for you to see and hear about the validity and strengths of the program.  December 15 meeting topics will be included in this meeting.

I strongly encourage and recommend you attend all meetings.  Every bit of information obtained and received at our meetings helps you make better-informed decisions in regards to your student's educational plans.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Catherine Golberg,
